Nativity friends are active all year round
Once a year the board of the "krippenfreunde herzogenaurach" thanks the active members with a club dinner. Chairman hans schmitt was able to bury numerous members at this small celebration, which was held in the parish garden of the herzogenaurach city parish thanks to the fine weather. He thanked the very active crib friends for their support in the many tasks.
On their club land on the welkenbacher kirchweg, the active members have erected their crib house and are constantly busy completing the extension. They recently cleared out an external warehouse and will be opening another one in the foreseeable future.
In addition, they are responsible for the crib in the herzogenaurach parish church. With the beginning of the advent season, the believers can enjoy several scenes until the feast of maria lichtmess. The construction and renovations require a rough time schedule.
The nativity scene exhibitions in the advent season in the crypt of the marienkapelle and the rehabilitation clinic are also well received.
Popular crib building courses
Every year the crib friends also offer crib building courses in their workshop in the former haundorf school, which enjoy great popularity. Both children and adults are introduced to the art of making nativity scenes and can take home their own nativity scene at the end of the course.
On 23. In november a trip to the bavarian convention of crib friends in garmisch-partenkirchen is planned. As a novelty this year, the friends of the nativity scene can imagine to exhibit nativity scenes in different buildings during the advent season.
For all this support it was necessary to say thank you. After schmitt's presentation, the active members of the association were able to exchange ideas at a cosy get-together.
